PlanGraphics Again Posts Quarterly Net Income; Revenue up 21% Over 2001

Frankfort, Ky., May 15, 2002—PlanGraphics, Inc. (OTC BB: PGRA), a designer and integrator of e-government solutions and spatially enabled information systems and data warehouses, reported second quarter net income of $9,925, or less than one cent per share, for the quarter ended March 31, 2002, compared with a net loss of $242,671 or one cent per share on fewer shares outstanding, a year earlier. Revenue for the quarter rose 21% to $2.16 million from $1.79 million in the prior year, reflecting previously reported increased contracts and assignments for the company's geographic information systems (GIS) solutions. Total operating costs and expenses for the quarter increased by only 9% comparing favorably to the 21% increase in revenue.

For the six months period PlanGraphics reported net income of $47,859, less than one cent per share, versus a net loss for the prior year period of $611,922, or three cents per share on less shares outstanding. Total operating costs of $4.07 million approximated 95% of the $4.28 million revenue showing improved cost management and resulted in operating income of $206,351. The prior year's total operating costs of $3.9 million equaled about 112% of $3.44 million of revenue for the six months period for an operating loss of $417,563. Revenue was up 25% over the same period in the prior year.

The company reported backlog of $11.2 million, a significant increase over the $9.1 million at September 30, 2001 and $9.6 million at March 31, 2001, reflecting increased demand and a broader range of services offered.

PlanGraphics president and CEO, John Antenucci, noted the quarter demonstrated "continued efforts to successfully manage and control expenses while increasing sales, marketing and investor communication activities."
