PlanGraphics' new activities require extended Form 10-KSB filing date

FRANKFORT, Ky., Dec. 12, 2003—PlanGraphics Inc. (OTC BB: PGRA) will file for a 14-day extension to the due date for its Form 10-KSB for the period ended Sept. 30, 2003. The normal filing date will be extended by 15 days from Dec. 30, 2003 to Jan. 14, 2004.

The company attributes the need for extra filing time to a delay in receipt of pending reports of international results, coupled with the expanded requirements related to accumulating data for a number of new accounting pronouncements, to the provisions of new regulations increasing disclosure, and to PlanGraphics' continued efforts for transparency to its shareholders.

In the normal course of business the company has undertaken a number of new efforts such as the acquisition of Xmarc, a minority ownership of the offshore Xmarc Services Ltd, and participation in a government sponsored cost-reimbursement research and development program which required additional discussion and consideration as to how to appropriately present their impact on the company's FY 2003 performance.

"This short slippage in the filling of our annual report will provide the time necessary to assure the proper accounting and accuracy and complete disclosure that we and our shareholders demand."
