York City My Neighborhood Statistics Web application redesigned
NEW YORK, June 9, 2003The New York City Mayors Office of Operations, with the assistance of PlanGraphics, Inc. (OTCBB: PGRA) and the Department of Information Technology and Telecommunications (DoITT), redesigned the My Neighborhood Statistics Internet mapping application. The initial launch of the application in September 2002 was a pilot application displaying 14 performance statistics from 8 agencies. Currently the application displays 49 performance statistics from 14 agencies. It can be viewed on-line at http://www.nyc.gov/html/ops/html/my_stats.html. The application and database have been redesigned to be modular. As more performance statistics are added, the application displays the new statistics automatically. Additional functionality has been added along with a completely redesigned interface. Users are able to download the statistics for use in their own applications. Search functionality has been added due to an increase in the number of statistics. The Mayors Office of Operations will update the performance measures with each publication of the Mayors Management Report. As new data are added, the application will report historical data so users can see how their community statistics change through time.
