PlanGraphics helps Maryland-National Capital Park & Planning Commission with address maintenance project

FRANKFORT, Ky., August 23, 2004—PlanGraphics, Inc. (Pink Sheets: PGRA) has been contracted to develop an address maintenance process and application for the Maryland-National Capital Park & Planning Commission (M-NCPPC). M-NCPPC is responsible for assignment of addresses throughout Montgomery County, Md.

PlanGraphics has provided services to M-NCPPC in a wide range of technical assistance assignments over the last 20 years. In this most recent assignment, PlanGraphics performed an assessment of the current addressing situation in the Commission. Based on that assessment, PlanGraphics is designing a GIS-based address maintenance application to support the determination of addresses and the update of a master address database. PlanGraphics will then develop the application, install it in M-NCPPC and train the Commission's staff in its operation. The address application will be implemented within the M-NCPPC ESRI GIS and Oracle environment and will be integrated with related GIS applications and the organization's Hansen Development Review system.
