PlanGraphics team selected to assess Glenn County’s alert notification program

FRANKFORT, Ky., April 25, 2006—PlanGraphics, Inc. (Pink Sheets: PGRA), and American Emergency Notification (AEN), a division of GenuTec Business Solutions, Inc., have been selected by the Sheriff’s Department in Glenn County, Calif., to complete an accelerated assessment of the County’s current alert notification capability. The team will develop county-wide recommendations for program enhancement, including enabling the alert notification technology to reflect differences in threat or risk levels by location and customize the alert message accordingly.

PlanGraphics’ project manager, Jim Fries, noted that the accelerated alert assessment methodology is ideally suited to jurisdictions facing spring and summer severe weather and flooding events and the impending hurricane season.

In Glenn County, the needs assessment is intended to quickly determine benefits and risk mitigation afforded by expanding the Sheriff’s notification capability to include other County and municipal agencies in the County. The assessment will establish the specific improvements required to expand program capability and integrate it with other emergency and non-public safety data sets and applications. Glenn County currently uses the Teleminder alert notification software program.
