PlanGraphics' Croswell receives Horwood Award from URISA

FRANKFORT, Ky., October 2, 2006—PlanGraphics, Inc. (Pink Sheets: PGRA) announced today that Peter L. Croswell, a senior member of the company’s consulting staff, received the Horwood Distinguished Service Award from the Urban and Regional Information Systems Association (URISA) at the organization’s annual conference in Vancouver (Sept. 26-29, 2006).

URISA describes the Horwood Award as “an occasional award for long-term service to URISA and the profession.” Croswell has been an active member of URISA since 1980 and has served on URISA’s board of directors and as its president. He has regularly contributed to URISA as a publications author, workshop instructor, and as leader and participant in many of URISA’s committees and special programs.

Croswell has been on PlanGraphics’ staff since 1985 and has managed or been a major participant in more the 150 GIS planning, design, and implementation projects for federal agencies, state and local governments, regional organizations, utility companies, and private firms in North America, Europe, China, and the Middle East. He holds a master’s degree in geography and geology from Western Illinois University and a bachelor’s degree in geography and mathematics from the State University of New York at Albany.

URISA is a nonprofit association of professionals using GIS and other information technologies to solve challenges in state/provincial, regional and local government agencies.
