Xmarc 7.0 offers new and enhanced features

FRANKFORT, Ky., June 13, 2006—PlanGraphics, Inc. (PK: PGRA) today announced new and enhanced features of version 7.0 of Xmarc Fire. Fire 7.0 is slated for official release on Sept. 1, 2006, but is available now for testing in a "beta" format by current licensees and under commercial evaluation agreements.

Xmarc Fire is the "middleware" engine for PlanGraphics' STEPs portal and for other applications that integrate diverse types and sources of data.

The following are some key enhancements of the new version:

  • A layering system for graphic windows; the layer structure has multiple attributes that can be manipulated, including transparency, brightness and visibility
  • Support for unpacking .zip files
  • Auto-labeling of graphic features
  • Transparency and brightness attributes applicable to individual graphic features
  • Symbology enhancements, including angled images and graduated color fills
  • Anti-aliasing of polyline and text features
  • Improved language facilities for structured membership array analysis
  • Off-line image file editing capabilities
  • Extensions to dynamic tree window capabilities
  • Symbolic debugger to improve the development process
  • Polyline generalization facilities.
