PlanGraphics completes pilot project for Louisville Metro data mart FRANKFORT, Ky., Sept. 17 2007PlanGraphics, Inc. (PK: PGRA) has completed a pilot project for the Louisville (Ky.) Metro Community Resource Network (CRN) data mart. The Web-based data mart gives participating organizations access to a wide variety of societal data and resources. Organizations participating in the data mart pilot project were Metro Police, Metro Health, Metro Human Services, and Jefferson County Public Schools. The pilot project took into account the functional application needs of potential users. One crucial issue was the ability to share data in a secure environment based on user privileges. Capabilities developed during the pilot included 1) access, security personalization; 2) searching for and querying data; 3) data retrieval, display and downloading; and 4) interactive mapping and map viewing. The database for the pilot project included information on crime, health statistics, social services, student performance; demographics and spatial data. PlanGraphics developed
the data mart using custom VB.Net, ArcIMS, and SQL Server applications.
