PlanGraphics awarded master contract with Fairfax County

FRANKFORT, Ky., June 25, 2007—PlanGraphics, Inc. (PK: PGRA) has been awarded a master contract with Fairfax County, Va., in the geographic information systems (GIS) skill area. The contract, valid through Dec. 12, 2012, enables County departments, as well as other public entities in the D.C. metropolitan area, to purchase PlanGraphics’ services on a fixed-price task order basis.

The new contract replaces a previous, similar contract that recently expired. In the past, PlanGraphics has helped the County establish and evaluate best practices for public safety GIS, and most recently under the previous contract has conducted a series of GIS-related tasks to help the County develop an enterprise transportation data model.

PlanGraphics, founded in 1979, is a full life-cycle systems integration and implementation firm providing a broad range of services in the design and implementation of information technology in the public and commercial sectors. PlanGraphics’ experience with spatial information systems and e-services capabilities provides a critical discriminator among other IT consulting and integration firms.
