PlanGraphics to develop transportation GIS application for Gary Public Transportation Corporation FRANKFORT, Ky., Nov. 3, 2008The Gary Public Transportation Corporation (GPTC)the commuter bus service in Gary, Ind.has contracted with PlanGraphics, Inc. (PGRA.OB) for development of a GIS application that will help GPTC staff with transportation planning and modeling, route planning and analysis, grant planning, and other tasks. GPTC serves the City of Gary and neighboring communities, and also has express service to locations outside the City, including connections to the Chicago Transit Authority and the Pace suburban bus service. GPTC is seeking to establish a Web-based link to the geographic information system (GIS) that PlanGraphics developed for the City of Gary and the Gary Sanitary Commission. The application that PlanGraphics will develop will have functionality available to the public and other functions that will be available only to authorized GPTC employees. PlanGraphics will
develop the application using a combination of ArcGIS and VB.NET tools. PlanGraphics, founded
