GIS DATABASE ARCHITECT/DEVELOPER
Location: Central Kentucky

PlanGraphics, Inc., has an opportunity for a GIS Database Architect/Developer.

  • Motivation, multi-tasking, and self-starter capabilities in a fast-paced atmosphere. Excellent communication and stress-management skills are needed. Ability to work unsupervised or as a member of a team, as projects require.
  • Experience with multiple Oracle 10g and SQL Server development technologies (database, application server, spatial, BPEL, PL/SQL). Oracle DBA experience is an advantage.
  • Experience with one or more object-oriented development languages, including Java, C# or C++.
  • Experience with GIS concepts and technologies, including but not limited to: ESRI, Intergraph, MapInfo, Oracle Spatial.
  • Thorough understanding of XML, SOAP and Web service methodology.
  • Experience with design, development, deployment and maintenance of n-tier enterprise systems.
  • Experience with MS Silverlight 3 or Adobe Flex Builder 3 a plus

Must be willing and able to travel within the US. Requires a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science or a related field.
