GIS PROGRAMMER/ANALYSTS
Location: Central Kentucky

PlanGraphics, Inc., has opportunities for GIS database analysts and application programmers. Positions require well-developed GIS application programming, database administration, and project management skills and ability to work as a self-starter and in team environments.

Requirements include:

  • Data Analysts should have experience implementing, maintaining, and tuning data in ArcSDE/Oracle 10g and ArcSDE/SQL Server environments, programming in VB/ArcObjects, and developing and supporting applications on ArcGIS Server 9.2 (or .3).
  • Application programmer position requires at least 1 year of application development in ArcGIS Server (9.2 or higher) environment and demonstrable experience with a wide range of ESRI products including ArcGIS, ArcIMS, and ArcSDE. Position also requires three or more years of application programming experience; including Java development, VB.Net, C#, and ASP.net. Thorough understanding of XML, SOAP and Web service methodology.

Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, work and manage multiple projects and/or tasks, ensuring that projects are on time and within budget.

Must be willing and able to travel within the US; preference given to candidates willing to travel internationally.

Positions require bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, mathematics, geography, engineering, or related field and have excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills.
