FAQs

Who should attend?

The value of the sessions will be greatly enhanced if both technology AND business/program representatives are able to participate. While the notification was sent to specific individuals it was meant to be just that... an awareness notification that the focus groups would be held December 4, 5, and 6, 2001. The sub-committee wanted to make sure key agency representatives were aware that the focus group planning sessions were going to take place and provide an opportunity for leaders to plan to participate directly and/or to send key business and technology staff members/colleagues in their place.

As attendance is voluntary, participants may choose (or their supervisors may direct them) to attend only one session that interests them or multiple sessions over the three day period. The sessions will be held concurrently so there will not be an opportunity for people to attend every session. However, the summary results of each session will be posted on the website to allow for additional comment a few days following the conclusion of the planning event.

Should I send an RSVP?

An RSVP is not required. However, as you look at the schedule and determine what sessions you, your staff, or your colleagues plan to attend.... a quick email message to me indicating your name (s), agency and session(s) you plan to attend would be most appreciated. This will assist us in finalizing the location assignment and number of information packets for each session.

Who received a notification?

The notification has been or will be sent to:

  • Members of the Governor's IT Roundtable, Executive Steering Committee and Sub-Committees
  • State IT, Budget, Purchasing, and HR contacts
  • The primary contact for the League of Oregon Cities, Association of Oregon Counties, and Association of County Data Processors (for distribution to their members)
  • Members of the GIS and CJIS communities
  • Key agency contacts working on HIPAA
  • E-Government Project members
  • DAS/Budget and Management Analysts
  • Legislative Fiscal Office Analysts

Again, please check the Web site periodically www.plangraphics.com/projects/OregonEITS for update information.
